We all look forward to Spring Break every year, but it can get expensive really fast. Between Hotels, airlines, and rental-car companies; your budget can go off the rails right before your eyes. Here are a few ideas to help you make the most of your week off with your family.
Hit the Road!
The first way to save on your spring break travel bill is to skip the flight and drive instead. It may sound like a beating to some, but if you really want to save money, a road trip is the way to go. Take out the map and look at how far you’re willing to go. Could you get to enjoy a couple of cities by adding an overnight stop along the way.
Bunk with Friends or Family

Look for rentals with a kitchen to save on meals. Stock up on breakfast items and lunch meats at a nearby grocery store, then enjoy dinners out. If your rental home has a barbecue, you can even grill up a few easy dinners!

Look for coupons or online savings and scan the deals listed on your targeted location’s tourism site. Sign up for email alerts from a resort or destination you’re eyeballing, so you’ll be the first to know when prices drop. You can also do this through various travel-planning sites. Once you select your destination, start looking for ticket deals to the main attractions. Reserving tickets online usually knocks a few dollars off the admission price to theme parks and other attractions.
